Businessmen and women who do a lot of traveling for the company will no doubt come in contact with several businesses in any given day. Most of these businesses will be ever so delighted to hand out their business cards like candy.
While it is good to have the information available for prospective clients or companies you yourself could use the services of, after a week on the road all those little cards can really start to accumulate. What you need is a smart business solution that will carry all that information in one tiny little space; you need a business card scanner.
As business card scanners go, there are several on the market but we are going to look at three in particular. No matter which you decide on, however, it is sure to be a vast improvement to the stacks and stacks of business cards that threaten to run you out of your car every time you get in it!
The CardScan Personal Card Scanner
The CardScan Personal Business Card Scanner is small, fast, and compatible with many software programs commonly used on the road. It takes it about 5 seconds to scan a card and you can even drag and drop contact information from emails with the software so all of your contacts end up in one place. It allows you to search for the contacts you need in a jiffy and email with just one click. You can even backup your contacts online should the unthinkable happen.
The CardScan Executive Card Scanner
The CardScan Executive Card Scanner has all of the features of the personal model, but is also compatible with ACT. It is about twice as fast as the personal card scanner, but is somewhat larger. This isn’t to say that it couldn’t be used during travel, but is probably better utilized in a home office for organizing your business cards after your trip has concluded. As with the personal version, you can backup all of your contacts online for free so you don’t have to worry if something were to happen to your device.
The CardScan Executive 700 Compact
The CardScan Executive 700 Compact business card scanner is about half the size of the previous executive model and yet somehow twice as fast. This scanner can accurately scan any business card in only 2 seconds in black and white. If you want color, you’ll have to wait a whopping total of 4 seconds. The software has been improved to be more user friendly while maintaining any settings you might have from older versions.
All three card scanners search out and take care of duplicate information. All three are easy to use. When it comes down to it, choosing the best business card scanner will depend on how portable and how fast you need your scanner to be. A business card scanner is a must have for any traveling businessman, but would also be a valuable asset to brick and mortar businesses looking for a convenient way to keep up with all of their contacts and associates.
